Request for PROOF View Only role/privilege

Hello, this is a request to have a view only role/privilege can be created; where the user has the following features...

  • View only access to artifacts in PROOF, but can enter notes/comments.
  • Ability to perform Local and Individual Cloud runs of test cases.
  • View only access to Executions and results, but can enter notes/comments.
  • Ability to generate and run reports.

...this would allow users that do not activity use PROOF and are more in a supervisory role on their teams to be able to access PROOF for limited actions, thanks.

Hi Stephen (and Zach),

We're currently focused on improving the Execution Results, and part of the release plan for that feature is the ability to share a test run result (including the video) in a read-only manner for someone without a license. I expect the first release to be mid-Q4, but don't have a date yet for the share functionality.

The other areas (viewing repository items, generating reports, running test cases) are not currently on our roadmap, but once we have a structure in place for viewing content it might be easier to build on it for other areas.
