We have several use cases where we need to verify values in certain formats, or make sure they equal the same value after toggling a different type of number formatting in our applications. We use two different types of number formatting in our commercialized application called US/UK number format (with the traditional comma separator) and the European number format (with the traditional decimal separator).
1,000.00 - This is the US/UK number format, where a comma is used as the thousands separator and a period is used as the decimal separator.
1.000,00 - This is the European number format, where a period is used as the thousands separator and a comma is used as the decimal separator.
