Functions / Scripts Lock Automatically with Another User Active in the Artifact

I propose implementing a feature that enhances the collaborative editing experience within the Sub7 environment. Specifically, when a user attempts to modify a function or script that is currently being edited by another active user, the system should lock the function to prevent concurrent modifications. Additionally, the system should display a notification message indicating the current activity. For example, the message could read:

“Sub7 User Test 1 is currently active in ‘Test Case 123’. Please wait for them to confirm their changes before you can gain editing privileges.”

This feature aims to ensure data integrity and prevent conflicts arising from simultaneous edits, thereby improving overall workflow efficiency and user experience.

Hi Zach,

Thank you for sharing your suggestions; we greatly appreciate your input. We are aware of these conflicts, and our plan is to implement a system that encompasses all assets, not just functions or tests. We will keep you updated once these improvements are in place.

Best regards,
Subject7 Team
