Unable to delete dataset after removing it's reference in Execution Set

Hello, I have been seeing an issue with the inability to delete dataset after removing it's reference in an existing Execution Set; where attempting to delete it I get a message that the Data Set cannot be deleted because it is in use by an execution set.

But i know it is not because I updated the execution set by removing the test case that is using the affected data set and replacing it with a completely different test case and saving the change.

I even tried making a copy of the execution set after the updates i made as referenced above and deleting the original execution set, still got the same error but this time it referenced the execution set copy as the execution set using the data set in question.

My only recourse was to completely delete the execution set, then I was able to delete the data set and then I had to recreate the deleted execution set from scratch; which i did not have to do in the first place 😢.

Please let me know if you have any question on this, thanks.

Hi Stephen,

Are you sure that none of the test cases in your execution set edit form (on the 2nd tab) has this specific dataset selected?

This error will not appear unless this specific dataset is selected. Once the dataset is no longer selected, the error would not appear when attempting to delete the dataset.
