how to sum varibales with special characters and decimal number?

Hi, I have a business logic to add numbers with dollar sign and decimal numbers. please help me on this.

number 1= $45,678.90

number=$32,987.65

I need to sum up these two numbers with Proof automation

Questions resolved over a meeting with Prasanna.

Overall, this can be done using Set_var with Expression option (but the dollar signs will need to be removed using Characters to Exclude section on Get_web_Value command_.
