Subject7 version 7.16 - 07/12/2017

Subject7 version 7.16 has the following enhancements and bug fixes:

  • Local player downloads much smarter now. If local player is already downloaded and there are no changes to the player, it no longer downloads the entire player so the speed of connecting is much faster. In order for this change to be effective, the following changes need to take place in your Java configuration if not already:
    • Go to Control Panel and open Java
    • Click on General Tab
    • Click on Settings under Temporary Internet Files
    • Make sure “Keep temporary files on my computer” is checked and click on OK
  • Added time in all filters with dates
  • Step timeout and max step timeout are no longer interfering with WAIT, VERIFY_ELEMENT, and VERFY_TEXT commands
  • Overall performance of Subject7 is improved
  • VERIFY_ELEMENT command on a disabled element is fixed
  • iframe issue in Firefox is fixed
  • Frequently used commands are added to the top of the wizard for easier access
  • Skip and unskip actions are added to the execution set test case selection tab
  • Sort by data set name is added
  • Copy execution set when test cases are grouped/chained is fixed
  • Newly created test cases are added to the recently accessed test cases under your username
  • Converter is added to convert Selenium IDE recorded steps to EXECUTE_SELENESE command:
    • Record a scenario using Selenium IDE
    • Stop Selenium IDE recording
    • Click on Selenium IDE’s source tab and copy the entire code that is generated on this screen
    • In Subject7, create a step with EXECUTE_SELENESE command and go through the wizard for it
    • Click on Converter link and a popup shows up
    • Paste the code that is copied on an earlier step from Selenium IDE into this popup and click on Convert link
    • Commands generated by IDE are converted into Subject7 commands and ready to be executed as part of EXECUTE_SELENESE command
  • Play button is no longer disabled if the following steps are taken:
    • start a test
    • pause it
    • stop it
    • switch to advanced view
    • save the test
  • Load Testing: load test validation upon save is fixed
  • Load Testing: pool is added to load test results
  • Load Testing: Added started and completed timestamp to the execution report
  • Load Testing: Added state (queued, started, in execution, and completed) to load test results
  • Load Testing: Added refresh to each individual load test execution
  • Load testing: scheduler issues are fixed
  • Some other minor enhancements and bug fixes
