Subject7 version 7.4 - 09/16/2016

Subject7 version 7.4 has the following enhancements and bug fixes:

  • Admin users can unlock any assets belonging to other users
  • Test cases can be run independently of an execution set
    • Open up a test case for editing
    • Click on the “cloud” icon to the left of the play button
    • Test case will be sent for the cloud run
    • Execution Report menu item available on the test case edit tab will show the result of the cloud execution for this test case
    • Preferences -> Cloud Run Pool sets the default pool for these types of cloud runs
  • Manual Testing support is added
    • When you click on “New TestCase” in Test Library, you have the option of Manual vs. Automated test case creation. Select Manual
    • Each manual test case step has a description and an expected result
    • You can upload an existing manual test case with these 2 columns from a CSV file
    • You can click on “Add Results” link while in edit manual test case mode and add a manual test case result
    • You can click on “Convert” link to convert a manual test case to an automated test case and vice versa
    • You can select a folder or suite and click on “Test Cases Chart” link to see percentages of automated vs manual tests cases in a folder or a suite respectively
  • Added pagination, sorting, filters, and export to PDF and excel to Reporting -> Execution Failures
  • Export to PDF and Excel is added to 508 compliance report
  • “Select *” database queries are now supported
  • 2 cloud execution aggregate reports are added.
    • Go to Execution Set tab
    • Select one or more execution sets
    • Click on “Reports” to the right of “Cloud Run” and select “Aggregated Summary Report” or “Aggregated Test Case Report”
      • Aggregated Summary Report: Aggregates failures of test cases with the same reason as well as successes to help with stabilization of cloud executions
      • Aggregated Test Case Report: Shows the result for the last 20 runs of test cases to show consistency of cloud executions
  • Steps Search is moved from Library menu to the Test Library filter
    • Go to Test Library
    • Click on Add Filter
    • Click on Steps Search at the lower left of the Filter popup
    • Steps search will open on a new tab
  • Old local player is completely removed
  • Additional validations are added to the execution set page
  • Some other minor enhancements and bug fixes
