Subject7 version 8.7 - 11/9/2019

Subject7 version 8.7 has the following enhancements and bug fixes:

  • Local player is packaged as a standalone Java application. This removes the need to download the local player and connect to it every time user logs into Subject7. The new flow is as follows:
  • Added possibility for user to use own path for Chrome driver in case there are discrepancies between Chrome version and Selenium Chrome driver. This would allow postponing an upgrade to a newer version of Subject7 in case Chrome is updated in the organization
  • Local player displayed the "Processing" message for some of the longer test cases. This was causing the test case execution to slow down locally. It is resolved
  • Local run execution in rare cases performed same action on two different steps. This is resolved
  • Switch frame is added to the Selenese list of commands
  • Copy test case icon is now available for a test case that is locked by someone else
  • Advanced view compact mode had a syntax error on line 2. It is resolved now
  • Made Subject7 compatible with OpenJDK as a replacement to Oracle JDK
  • Fixed Jenkins plugin to be compatible with OpenJDK
  • Chrome is now maximized when launched
  • Added Drag and Drop Desktop command
  • Enhanced Desktop_Hotkeys commands to support CTRL + keys
  • Limitation of 1000 search items is removed from all lists within the entire application
  • Wild card and partial text searches for all the fields are enabled on the Steps Search page
  • All actions available in the list toolbar for a test case is now available in the toolbar of test case view
  • Copying of a step with scroll command was not copying all the parameters of the command. It is fixed now
  • Edit icon for Query in Get_Db_Value command is added
  • Load Testing: Ramp up time was being shown as 0 in the reports. It is fixed now
  • Load Testing: Scheduling issues are fixed
  • Load Testing: Issues with shutting down browsers when run period is used are fixed
  • Load Testing: Columns of the Load Execution Tab can be resized
  • Load Testing: Load executions tab now includes the load plan name
  • Manual Testing: Export is enhanced to include the details of the steps
  • Manual Testing: Attachments for execution results are added
  • Manual Testing: Test data used in the test case can be added both in the test definition and test execution results
  • Native Mobile: Mobile_Fill command is enhanced to include Encrypted option similar to Fill command for web
  • Native Mobile: Mobile_Verify_Element is enhanced to include Verify_Element options for web
  • Native Mobile: Mobile_Print_Page_Source command includes copy icon for even large sources
  • Some other minor enhancements and bug fixes
